Ernst Wagner is lecturer and researcher at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich and the UNESCO-Chair in Arts and Culture in Education at the University of Erlangen. He studied art and taught visual arts at secondary schools. For 8 years he was employed by the Institute for School Quality, Munich (responsible for art, film and drama education). Graduated with a PhD in art history at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, his research is focused on Heritage Education, Intercultural Communication, Visual Literacy, Arts Education and Education for Sustainable Development – in the context of UNESCO.
