Cam 2026 Efolet Missing children

We see several frightened faces, multiple missing persons notices, tied hands, a child lying down, and the only question that arises is: where are these children? When a child disappears, the world around continues to move forward, but for their family, time seems to stand still. The days become unanswered questions, the nights silent waits. The theme "Missing Children" confronts us with a difficult but necessary reality to face. Behind each disappearance, there is a void that is not only measured in distance but also in broken memories: laughter that no longer echoes, daily routines that become painful memories. This work aims not only to depict a disturbing situation but also to create a space for awareness. It reminds us that children need attention, protection, and a safe environment to grow. It also invites us to reflect on our role in society: neighbours, teachers, friends, passers-by—everyone can be a watchful eye that safeguards. The pieces presented here bear witness to the fragility of childhood but also to the strength of hope. Because as long as a child is being searched for, as long as a face circulates and a story is told, there remains a possibility of finding their way back. As you explore this work, take a moment to view each image as if that child were part of your own community. Because, in a way, that is true.

Born on 23rd July 2004 in Douala, I am named EFOLET SHULAMMITE ISRAËLLA REINE. Having attended Collège DU VAAL (DU VAAL International School) and graduating with a Baccalaureate in Series D, I was drawn to art and directly enrolled at the Libre Academy of Fine Arts in Douala (LABA) in 2022, specialising in Web and Graphic Design and Multimedia. Currently, I am completing my final year in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Web and Graphic Design. As a highly passionate student, I developed a particular interest in Photography and Audiovisual Arts, earning a BTS in this field. I continued to pursue this passion by participating in the Kam’Art Workshops in 2024, supervised by Mr. Max MBAKOP, which lasted six months. During this period, I had the privilege of meeting several renowned photographers, such as Mr. Alain NGANN. At the end of the training, I took part in an exhibition titled "OUR TOWNS THEM NA ‘MOTO DI GO’… !?" held at the Annie Kadji Gallery in Douala and at L’Espace Afrotopos in Yaoundé. Subsequently, I participated in another training session in 2024, lasting four months and supervised by Mr. Gédéon TAFFOU. At its conclusion, I exhibited works in an event called "LA MÉMOIRE" organised by the Gotin Production Social association. I also took part in the 2nd edition of REPDOUL, where I was fortunate to be among the exhibitors under the theme "THE PASSING TIME! MY CITY BEFORE, NOW, AND TOMORROW".
