These ideas are aimed at rather advanced classes at secondary schools, are interdisciplinary (sports, art and music) and extend over a longer period of time. They could be realized, for example, through continuous work in a voluntary work group or within one or more project days.
A possible goal is the creation of a music video, which shows a typical Tecnobrega mix or a sound specially cut with the help of experts, as well as a dance developed by the students and a suitably designed ambience, following specific steps:
- Theoretical introduction about music culture and its political aspects,
- Discussion about the values and functions of music and the right of different musical styles and tastest to exist.
- A trip to a music studio: hands-on experience of music production and possibly cutting together a soundtrack (with styles and songs that are significant for the students) under the guidance of experts.
- Possibly practicing a dance
- Design of the ambience (black light, confetti) and choice of outfits
- Filming of the dance (rehearsed or free) to music in the designed space.
- The video could also be shown on special occasions, such as at the summer party or open house.
The students keep experiences, new skills, and a finished video.
