The international hybrid conference focused on transcultural relations and colonial legacies from both European and African perspectives. Structured around three thematic areas, it addressed questions relating to African cultural heritage and the intangible dimensions of restitution, community-centred and pluriversal memory cultures, as well as decolonial digital practices. The conference is part of the two‑year project “Reframing Colonial Legacies”, co-organised by Zeppelin University and the University of Cape Coast and funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
It took place in hybrid format at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen on 5 and 7 May 2026, aimed at an international audience from academia and cultural practice.
