Constanze Kirchner, Prof. Dr., chair for art education at Augsburg University, is head of the art education institute. She began her studies for primary school teaching at the University of Frankfurt in 1982. She did her master in art education, sociology und psychology. From 1989 to 1998 she taught at primary school, finishing her PhD about Teaching Contemporary Art in Primary Schools in1998. Since 1995 she is co-editor of the journal Kunst+Unterricht and co-editor of the series KREAplus (kopaed Munich). Her research interests include, but are not limited to, the following areas: aesthetical behavior of kids, quality in art education, creativity promotion.
