Lecture Series on Arts - Cultures - Politics #8

Dear reader,

Images of defiance: South African anti-apartheid t-shirts is the title of the next presentation within our series of documenta lectures. It takes place on Thursday, 10th of February, at 12:00 Central European Time. (Please check what time this is in your time zone.) ‍

This lecture by Avi Sooful will shed light on the role of t-shirts for the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa during the 1980s - as an example for an interface of communication announcing resistance and protest. Avi Sooful is senior lecturer of Fine Art at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

The session will be moderated by Lea Frauenknecht and Roberta Huldisch.
