Dear reader,

 

the third lecture within the series of documenta speeches takes place this Thursday, 11.30 am Central European Time. ‍

Samuel Ravengai, Associate Professor of Theatre and Performance at the University of the Witwatersrand, in Johannesburg, South Africa, talks about Postcolonialism and Arts Education: African Perspectives.


Milena Valeva, multi-lingual professor in nonprofit management and sustainable regional development at Trier University of Applied Sciences, gives insight into Nonprofit-Organisations and sustainable regional development on the example of the Bulgarian Chitalishte.

 

Yongfei Du, enthnomusicologist, working as a researcher and teacher at various German universities, currently Hildesheim and Hannover, presents The Belt and Road Initiative: Contemporary Cultural Projects in China.

 

The session is moderated by Michèle Brand, Anna Luise Binder, Marlene Richert, Saskia Hornig and Jonas Pretterer.

EVC co-organizes this international series together with the University of Hildesheim and documenta fifteen \\ CAMP on Education. The topics originate from the intersections of art, culture, cultural policy and education. Students will moderate the sessions.


Exploring Visual Cultures is collaborative project of the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with universities, artists and museums around the world, funded by Engagement Global in the context of implementing the objectives of the Global Learning Framework, and the Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs.
